At first glance, the individual panels look like colour or structure tests and actually they are, originally. Colour combinations, backgrounds of the structure works are tested and checked. During the production of these strips, I realised the potential of the combination as with other series. All panels should have the same height 125cm and the same number of dots. The width as well as the angle of the dots/strokes could vary. This makes it possible to combine the works with each other, even more freely and playfully the viewer is again invited to rotate the works horizontally or vertically and mesh them together to create ever new synergies. What began as simple tests has become a real series, to be continued again and again in the future. Each work is numbered, and some of the works carry narrative elements, such as a colour combination discovered in an upscale boutique and then broken down into its individual components, or an attempt to express extraordinary days or events in colour arrangements. The collector can start with one panel and add new ones or swap with others as desired. Due to the uniform height, the combination possibilities in this series are almost unlimited. In addition to the consecutive numbering on the back, selected works have a signature and date, as well as keyword notes to further explain the origin of the combination, while other pieces have no description at all on the back. This series seduces the collector to always find new combinations and to network with other owners in order to possibly exchange elements. At the same time, the Collectibles series invites to play and collect without restraint and triggers many a childhood memory.
